Ed O’Neill: Jane Lynch Shouldn’t Have Won Emmy

December 6th, 2010

Ed O’Neill thinks that Glee‘s Jane Lynch shouldn’t have received the Emmy Award for her character  Sue Sylvester on Glee because she’s “just a one-note character.” Saucer of milk to the Modern Family set!!

The veteran actor, who plays Jay Pritchett on the hit show, opened up during a press conference with the international media in Los Angeles.

“I love Jane, honestly I do,” O’Neill said.  “I’m dying to star in one of Christopher Guest’s movies alongside her, but I don’t think she should have gotten the Emmy for that part. (Sue Sylvester) is just a one-note character.”

The 64-year-old thinks that award should have gone to his on-screen wife, Sofia Vegara.

“Sofia is just so, so funny,” O’Neill added.  “I don’t think people realize how hilarious she is. She’s so sharp with her wit, it’s amazing.”

Somehow I don’t think that’s the way “Sue C’s It!”
