Eddie Murphy Flick Tanks At Box Office

Eddie Murphy has experienced the second-worst box opening weekend box office result in his career this weekend in the US, after his latest movie, ‘Meet Dave’ opened to a disappointing US$5.3 million.

The movie, in which Murphy appears as human-looking “spacecraft” helmed by a mini-version of himself, failed to capture the publics interest, coming in at 7th place.

At first place was the sequel ‘HellBoy II: The Golden Army’, which opened with US$35.9 million.

Murphy’s worst ever movie debut was his 2002 movie ‘The Adventures of Pluto Nash’, which made just US$2.2 million.
