People magazine has published the first photos of newlywed couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who were married on the weekend after a four-year courtship.  Check out the pics here.

In the issue of People that hits newstands in the U.S. on Friday, the couple talk about their wedding last Saturday (August 16), during which they exchanged vows in an intimate setting at their Beverly Hills mansion.

“The love we felt from the people surrounding us, and the love we have for each other, made this the most beautiful and emotional day,” de Rossi explains. “And one that we’ll never forget.”

DeGeneres quips, “What can I say? I’m the luckiest girl in the world. She’s officially off the market. No one else gets her. And now she’ll cook and clean for me.”
