Eminem, 50 Cent And Dr Dre Break Download Record

February 13th, 2009

Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr Dre have landed on top of the US Billboard charts, breaking the record for the most legal downloads on the first week with their latest single ‘Crack A Bottle’.

The new track, taken from Eminem’s forthcoming album entitled ‘Relapse’, was downloaded 418,000 times in it’s opening week, breaking the previous record set by TI and Rihanna’s ‘Live Your Life’ with 335,000.

The trio all plan on bringing out new albums this year, with Eminem’s ‘Relapse, 50 Cent’s delayed ‘Before I Self Destruct’ and Dr Dre’s long awaited ‘Detox’ forming part of a “three-headed monster“, according to 50 Cent.

“It’s a story actually,” he added.  “‘Before I Self Destruct,’ I’ll ‘Relapse,’ then ‘Detox.’”
