Fresh from spending several weeks in rehab, movie star Eva Mendes has said she’s taking a break and enjoying some down-time with her family, saying that she’s "taking advantage of her time off" by sticking to her exercise regime.
The actress, who entered Utah’s Cirque Lodge earlier this year, told People magazine that she is feeling refreshed and rejuvinated after her stint in rehab.
"The sun’s out again. It’s my time," she told the magazine on Tuesday (April 2) at a luncheon at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
"I’m actually taking advantage of my time off. You know, I had a film that was pushed, so I’m home spending time with my family, going to the gym and actually enjoying taking care of myself… This year has been great for me because I’ve learned how to relax. The last three years have been amazing but kind of crazy. So I don’t know, I feel grounded. I feel really good."
Mendes, 34 – who is in a longtime relationship with producer George Gargurevich – added that she’s "getting a lot of love in the love department, too".
The actress had entered the rehab facility – the same place where Lindsay Lohan sought treatment for substance abuse – in January this year, for what her rep called "outside professional support" for "some personal issues."
