Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff named John Branca and John McClaine, the two men listed as executors in Michael Jackson’s will, as Special Adminstrators of the King of Pop’s estate for the next 60 days.
A statement released by their attorney, Howard Weitzman, said they plan on taking care of his children, his mother and the charities he supported.
“The Special Administrators are in the process of creating significant value for Michael Jackson’s beneficiaries — his three children, his mother Mrs. Katherine Jackson and the charitable causes that were so important to him during his lifetime,” the statement reads. “The court also approved our request to grant family allowances for Mrs. Katherine Jackson that was agreed to by Mrs. Jackson’s attorney and also approved, with slight modification by the court, an allowance for Mr. Jackson’s three children.”
Additionally, Mrs. Jackson was required to sign a confidentiality agreement as part of a review of “three important business transactions”, the release says.
