Will Ferrell Confirmed For Guest Role On The Office

NBC has confirmed that Will Ferrell is joining the cast of The Office for a four episode arc, where he’ll play an inept branch manager sent from the company’s headquarters.
“We found Steve Carell when he was nothing but a movie star and we turned him into a television star,” executive producer Paul Lieberstein said in a statement. “We are proud to continue The Office‘s tradition of discovering famous talent, and we hope that once America gets a good look at Will, they’ll see what we see: tremendous raw sexuality.”
Ferrell will star alongside Carell for 3 episodes before leaving the show, with Ferrell taking over for the season finale.
