Following an unprecedented amount of interest, New York magazine has posted additional images on its website from the Lindsay Lohan nude shoot, in which the actress recreates Marilyn Monroe’s final photo shoot.
In the magazine’s current Spring Fashion issue, Lohan is reborn as Marilyn Monroe, posing for photographer Bert Stern, who shot the original 1962 series of photographs, called "The Last Sitting".
The public reaction to Lohan’s shoot has been mixed, with some wondering whether a nude photo shoot was appropriate for the actress, considering her recent troubles with drugs and alcohol.
One fan of the photos, however, was the actress’ mom, Dina Lohan, who told People magazine that the images were “artistic” and "very tastefully done".
In response to the spectacular level of interest in the images, New York magazine has posted five new shots to its website.
“Because the session is historic and beautiful, we’re pleased to share five outtakes that did not appear in the magazine,” the website declares.
The new images, numbered 10 through 14, can be accessed here.
