george-michael-sonyBrit singer George Michael has been questioned by police, after he was involved in a late night car crash near London early Friday.

george-michael-sony-bmgThames Valley Police would only confirm that only a 46-year-old man had been arrested, after a Land Rover hit a tractor-trailer on the A34 road in the early hours of Friday morning.

The man was released without charge five hours later.

On Saturday, Michael confirmed that he was involved in the incident, but insisted in a statement that he had been “stone cold sober” at the time.

“Neither of us was charged because we were both stone cold sober. We both think the other is to blame, so this is just an insurance fight,” he said.

“I don’t want my fans or my family worried by what they are reading all over again,” he added.

In June 2007, Michael was banned from driving for two years after he plead guilty to driving while under the influence of drugs.
