The Grammy’s are over for another year and we blogged it live. Follow the night and find out who won what after the jump.
Wow, the Grammy’s kicked things off with an over-the-top (dare we say, almost MTV Awards-esque) performance from Lady Gaga and Sir Elton John!
Gaga’s outfit was a combination of what we’ve come to expect, splashed with J-Lo’s revealing Oscars dress from a few years back.
Can’t believe Stephen Colbert has an iPad… “Does this make me cooler than you?” he asks Jay-Z. Funny.
“Sure Justin Timberlake brought the sexy back, but Susan Boyle sent it away again. Goodbye sexy!” Stephen Colbert.
Great performance by the Broadway cast of American Idiot and Green Day… waiting for Beyonce though (heard that it’s going to be good).
Well, Beyonce knocked it out of the park with her cover of Alanis Morissette’s You Outta Know (she should release it while we’re waiting for another album). P!nk’s up next.
P!nk channeling Cirque du Soleil. We hope the Grammy’s have insurance! Amazing performance. She’s truly one of the greatest performers around at the moment.
Is Will.I.Am. wearing a gimp mask? The Black Eyed Peas always put on an electric show.
The Kings of Leon are drunk accepting their award for Record of the Year… “Whoever I forgot, I’ll buy you shots!”
Robert Downey Jr. introduces Jamie Foxx by saying, “Thank God I’m here.” Slash, T-Pain and Foxx doing a rockin’ version of Blame It. Slash belts out the guitar riff from the Guns & Roses classic November Rain. Nice.
Zac Brown Band doing it for the country fans.
Taylor Swift joined on stage by Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac! Doing a cover of the classic Rihannon. Folksy version of Love Story with Nicks is great!
Michael Jackson tribute… Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson doing Earth Song with MJ. The screens are in 3D. Good to see the stars aren’t too cool to wear their 3D glasses!
Prince and Paris Jackson take the stage to say thanks to their father’s fans….
Bon Jovi rcokin’ the stage with Living on a Prayer!
Standing ovation for Mary J. Blige and Andrea Bocelli. Beautiful.
Dave Matthews Band were awesome. There, I said it.
After bringing the house down earlier in the evening, Beyonce admits that she was nervous winning her award for Best Pop Vocal Performance for Halo.
We would not like to be sitting behind Lady Gaga. Outrageous doesn’t even cut it.
Quentin Tarantino – loudest introduction ever!
No disrespect at all but Lil Wayne should do a cover of Pants on the Ground! Did CBS let f*ck slip through with Eminem’s verse?
Taylor Swift wins Album of the Year for Fearless: “This is the story that all of us, when we’re 80-years-old and telling the same stories over and over again to our grandkids and they’re getting so annoyed with us, this is the story we’re going to be telling over and over again, that in 2010 how we got to win Album of the Year at the Grammys.”
