Gwyneth Paltrow has donated US$75,000 to the Food Bank For New York City, after she attended a benefit for the organization over the weekend.
The 35-year-old Oscar winner, who was an honoree at the dinner, told guests, "I’ve been thinking about all the crap my children have, and how much food we throw away."
She added, "We have to do more."
The Food Bank for New York City, according to it’s website, coordinates "the procurement and distribution of food donations from manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and government agencies to organizations providing free food to the city’s hungry."
