Halle Berry Names New Baby Daughter

Halle Berry and her partner Gabriel Aubry have revealed the name of their newborn daughter after the actress gave birth last Sunday (March 16).

A representative for the 43-year-old revealed to Usmagazine.com that her new baby’s name is Nahla Ariela Aubry.

According to Aubry’s sister, Eugene, her brother couldn’t contain his excitement over Berry going into labor.

"He called my father to say, "It’s time! It’s happening!’" she said.  "She was about to give birth.  He sounded a bit nervous but happy!"

      I’m sure that little girl is beautiful, but the name they’ve chosen? Hmmm… By the way, Gabriel and Nahla’s surname is spelt “Aubrey”, and Gabriel’s sister’s name is Eugenie, not Eugene. Eugene is a boy’s name.

      Her name is pronounced “NOR-la Ah-ree-ella”
