One of the stars of the Harry Potter film franchise has been charged with illegally growing 10 cannabis plants, according to British police, who arrested Jamie Waylett for “producing a class B drug”.
Waylett, from north London, plays schoolboy bully Vincent Crabbe in the Potter films.
The actor’s arrest was announced only hours before the film’s stars walked the red carpet in London for the world premiere of the sixth film, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court in central London on July 16, “charged with producing a class B drug, namely 10 plants of cannabis”, police said.
The 19-year-old actor appears as the overweight sidekick of villain Draco Malfoy in all of the Potter films.

God dang. And they anounced that Goyle is going to die now instead of Crabbe. He shouldn't have been growing it anyway…
