Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has set a record for the biggest worldwide first day opening ever, taking $104 million at box offices globally.
Warner Bros President Alan Horn said, “Quite simply, we owe this record-breaking opening to the remarkable fans who have stood by us and who stood in line to be among the first to see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”
The latest in the movie franchise made $45.85 million internationally and $58.18 million in North America, according to figures released by Warner Bros.
