Heath Ledger Dies Of Drug Overdose
January 22nd, 2008Australian actor Heath Ledger has died of a drug overdose in New York, Manhattan police have confirmed.
Ledger was found dead in his bed in one of his residences in SoHo by his housekeeper at 3.35pm local time. Law enforcement sources told celebrity gossip website TMZ that they believe the death is not suspicious. The 28-year-old actor has a two-year-old daughter, Matilida, with former fiancée, Michelle Williams.Ledger was set to play the Joker in the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight.

After reading about 3 different reports its finally sinking in that he is really dead. I cant believe it! I am in Australia and it just doesnt seem real that our boy would be dead… What a shock!

This is a truly tragic loss of a very gifted actor who I have always found to be exceptional. I am still having a hard time believing it is real and that he would commit suicide. Police should release what drugs they found near him. I am devastated to just learn of this five minutes ago.

I loved heath, was one of my favorite acotrs.
Had such a cheecky smile.

What a waste of a life,really talented young man,and u got to feel for the family he left behind inluding his 2yr old daughter,and Michelle Williams must b ib a truly horrible place right now.Sad Loss
