Heidi Klum’s Project Runway Moving Networks

April 8th, 2008

Heidi Klum’s top-rating reality show about budding fashion designers, ‘Project Runway’, will settle into a new home at Lifestyle Television for the upcoming sixth season – prompting NBC, owner of the show’s current timeslot on the Bravo network, to launch a lawsuit to preventing the move.

The show’s owners, The Weinstein Company, have signed a five-year deal with Lifetime, however the Bravo network is fighting to keep the popular show on their line-up.

Speaking as counsel to The Weinstein Company, David Boise said that the lawsuit is "without merit".

"We believe that this lawsuit is without merit. While good for the market for lawyers, it is always unfortunate when parties try to win in court what they have lost in the marketplace," Boise said.

Responding to the anouncement of the new network deal, Klum said, "Fashion is about change, so we’re looking forward to saying hello to Lifetime, our new fashionable home for our fashionable series."
