High School Musical 3 Confirmed

Walt Disney Studio officially announced on Monday (January 14) that they are set to commence production on ‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year’, with all principal cast returning for the final installment of the popular musical series.
With production due to commence in the Northern Spring 2008, Oren Aviv, the president of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Production, said, "We’re thrilled to have all of the talented cast members who helped make ‘High School Musical’ such an incredible phenomenon joining us for this big screen motion picture event."
Aviv reveals that the characters, made famous by Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale, will be taken "in some intriguing and entertaining new directions", with the focus being on their final year before venturing off in different directions.
The announcement also settles the ongoing speculation of whether Disney would involve Hudgens in the new movie, after naked photos of the 18-year-old star appeared online in September 2007.
