The insurance company at the center of a dispute with the estate of Heath Ledger, has agreed to a undisclosed pay out, rumored to be around $10 million.
Despite Ledger’s actual cause of death being ruled an accidental prescription drug overdose, the insurance company suggested the actor committed suicide, voiding the policy which benefits ‘The Dark Knight’ star’s daughter, Matilda.
According to William M. Shernoff, the estate’s attorney, the two sides came to an agreement, telling E! News, “We’re pleased that we were able to reach an amicable settlement of the dispute.”
No financial details of the settlement have been released at the time of writing.
