Isaac Hanson, one third of the pop group Hanson, was admitted to hospital on Wednesday (October 3) suffering severe shoulder and chest pains, forcing the band to cancel a homecoming show in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
According to the bands publicist, Ken Phillips, the 26-year-old was admitted to hospital in Texas where “He underwent several tests throughout the night and has been diagnosed with pulmonary embolism."
"Isaac is currently undergoing treatment and will be re-evaluated shortly by doctors.”
The US National Heart Lung and Blood Institute states that a Pulmonary Embolism is “a sudden blockage in a lung artery, usually due to a blood clot that travelled to the lung from a vein in the leg.”
Hanson is married to Nicole Dufresne and has a son, Clarke Everett, born in April this year.
