Jack Bauer fans, rejoice: Twentieth Century Fox’s film and TV studios are reportedly working together to bring hit TV series 24 to the big screen, once season 8 wraps up.
The film division has even hired writer Billy Ray (State of Play, Flightplan) to pen the script for the feature version, according to Variety.
In the film, Bauer – played expertly by Kiefer Sutherland – will journey to Europe.
Sutherland, who is also an executive producer on the series, is said to be eager to turn the long-running TV series into a feature franchise.
According to Variety, “Insiders cautioned that a 24 feature is still very much in the preliminary stages. There are a number of factors influencing how quickly it moves ahead, including the fate of the TV show.”
Fox currently doesn’t have a deal for a ninth season of 24, and hasn’t yet decided whether to order another season.

Kiefer's life would make a great film, too!!! We could base the movie on his biography, "Kiefer Sutherland: Living Dangerously" and it can include his prison time, his rodeo life and more. That would be awesome!
