DMX has avoided further jail time and has been placed on 18 months probation, with his attorney saying, “It was definitely a good result.”
The rapper, born Earl Simmons, was doing 90 days behind bars for animal cruelty and drugs charges, with Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Robert Gottsfield permitting him to serve his probation in Florida.
Simmons attorney, Glenn Allen, told E! News, “One of the things that Maricopa does is allow people to transfer their probation to other places. It was definitely a good result. Everybody’s relieved to have this done with and it’s the appropriate resolution.”
