Jennifer Garner On Balancing Movies & Motherhood

April 29th, 2009

Actress Jennifer Garner has taken a very un-Hollywood path and admitted that she’s not nearly as together as she looks, saying that she has her good and bad days and “I fake it like any working mom, and I run out the door.”

Garner, 37, was at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on Monday night (April 27) for the premiere of her new film, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, co-starring Matthew McConaughey.

She revealed that being a mom to 3-year-old Violet and a newborn – Seraphina Rose was born in January – presents it’s challenges.

“[I] feel like half my brain is somewhere else all the time, but when the camera’s rolling, I pull it together and focus for two minutes, and then I kind of turn back to a ditz again. I have a split personality,” she says.

Her co-workers are none the wiser, it seems, with Lacey Chabert commenting, “She’s such a good mum. I admire her so much. Her little girl is so smart and you can tell she really spends time with her. I just admire her that she can balance all of it.”
