Jennifer Love Hewitt has opened up about the recent controversy that erupted when paparazzi photographs of her in a bikini, whilst on vacation celebrating her engagement, circulated widely, prompting a surge of criticism against her curvy figure.

The star of television’s ‘Ghost Whisperer’ slammed critics at the time, saying, "A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful… And like all women out there should, I love my body."

The newly-engaged 28-year-old walked the red carpet with her fiancé, Ross McCall, by her side at the Hollywood premiere of ’27 Dresses’, and discussed the lashing she received from the tabloids and gossip columnists.

"It made me feel a little embarrassed to be honest," she reveals.
