Jessica Simpson Finding Success With Country Song

Despite naysayers claiming that she wouldn’t forge a successful country music career following the commercial failure of her last pop album, Jessica Simpson has found herself a U.S. hit with her new country song ‘Come On Over’, which cracked the top 30 on Billboard’s country singles chart this week - and it’s gaining momentum.
Simpson’s last album, ‘A Public Affair’, failed to capitalize on the success of her previous album, which was released while she was starring in the MTV reality show, ‘Newlyweds’, with ex-husband Nick Lachey.
Tom Baldrica, Vice president of Sony BMG Nashville, was one of the initial skeptics of Simpson’s cross-over to country music, but has now changed his tune.
“The best way to sum this up is what program directors have been telling our promotions staff: ‘I really wanted to hate this record, and I don’t. I love this.’,” he told CNN.

I am no longer a fan and do not listen to anything she puts out simply because she is two sided and fake. When she goes back to being what she claims she has wanted to be a role model for young girls and women then i would consider listening to her, but not until she remembers where she came from not the diva she has become. She needs to take a look back at her 1st interviews where she did not want to be like Christina or Britney and they way they dress but she has become them and in some cases surpassed them.

i wont call it a success yet i wanna see # of record sales and awards being won…i just cant imagine jessica simpson a success i mean can anyone she’s been in music for 9 years now and she can’t sell a record, a movie…so don’t blame me if i’m skeptical she’s just a has been that dont go away.

hi nicole i just read your comment and i have to say i fully agree with you. she was innocent compared to britney and xtina and she always seemed to stand on her beliefs…until she left nick…and was with one guy to the next, she’s a whore, superficial diva…and i think she doesn’t look as pretty anymore as she used to she looks gross dirty whitetrash chick i guess hollywood and fortune do change people…she is a fake and her country music is a fraud because she is no country girl …country girls are respectable women and humble…with morals and values ans have class ans this is something jessica lacks….this chick is going to fall falt on her face.
