Jessica Simpson Hospitalized With Kidney Infection

Singer Jessica Simpson was hospitalized in Los Angeles for a kidney infection of Friday, but has already been released and is recovering well.

The singer and sometime-actress was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday (March 28), her rep told People magazine.

"She has been released and is doing fine," the rep says.

Simpson, 27, was admitted to hospital after suffering a fever.

Earlier this month, Simpson took a trip to Iraq where she performed for the troops. She is currently working on an album of country music.
