Joaquin Phoenix’ rep has slammed Chicago psychiatrist Paul Dobransky for telling the LA Times that the former actor displayed “socially inappropriate” behavior on David Letterman’s show on February 11.
Phoenix has become the butt of jokes as a result of his transformation from respected Hollywood actor to a Grizzly Adam’s looking hip-hop artist.
According to the LA Times, Dobransky said that Phoenix’ behavior on Letterman, hinted at mental illness and possibly paranoia, saying, “There is something wrong. And it’s beyond drug abuse.”
Susan Patricola, the newly established musician’s rep, told E! News, ”How absolutely inappropriate for a doctor who has no personal interaction or relationship with someone to diagnose them. And to do so in a public forum.
“Hope they spelled his name right. Another 15-minute ‘expert’ is born! Astonishingly inappropriate! “

The publicist is trying to draw more attention to his film. The shrink was commenting on his behavior on Letterman – nothing else!
