John Mayer Denies Googling Himself

March 24th, 2008

John Mayer has denied a story by the New York Post that claims he searches his own name online and personally responds to rumors to stop the spread of gossip.

The article, which appeared in the Page Six column, states that, "John Mayer is so self-obsessed, he Googles himself every morning, and has been known to respond to online rumors just to clear the air."

Showing his sense of humor, Mayer has taken to his official website posting a message denying the report.

"This is, quite simply, untrue," he writes.

If John Maye does google himself every day…. who gives a shit. So what if he sits down at his computer ( which he purchased with his own money from being a successful artist ) and googles himself every day. Raise your hand if you have a Myspace account? Ok hands down. Raise your hand if you check it everyday. So you get my point. Let me ask you this.. If you could ask every celebrity if they googled themselves and get an honest answer, what do you think that honest answer would be. of course they do. Hell im FAR from famous and every once in a while i google myself. Get over it why dont you write about something meaningful, maybe politics, teen suicide rates, drug awareness, poverty… Find something else. Come on you get paid damn good money to write these articles you can do better than that.
