John Mayer And Rashida Jones Not Dating, Says Rep

A rep for actress Rashida Jones says she is not dating John Mayer amid reports that they were on a date together at Chateau Marmount over the weekend.
According to a source, the singer approached Jones and “took the guitar from someone who was performing and at the Chateau and performed an impromptu performance for Rashida.”
However, her rep says, “She was having dinner with friends – totally independent of him. He came over to the table she was at with her friends, said hello to everyone, [and] asked if he could play the guitar that her friends were already playing.”
The rep adds that Mayer’s performance was “not directed at anyone.”
