John Mayer Shooting Variety Show Pilot

The president of US television network CBS has revealed that John Mayer is currently developing a variety/sketch show pilot, set to air later this year.
“It’ll be a music variety sketch show, and it’s being developed now,” Nina Tassler told the Television Critics Association Wednesday (January 14). “It was his idea; we didn’t reach out to him.”
Tassler is full of praise for the singer, who is writing some of the sketches himself.
“He’s so multi-talented,” she said. “Great personality. Really smart, loves television and is very funny and has a great sense of humor about himself. ”
