As expected under the circumstances, John Travolta has cancelled his scheduled appearance at this weekend’s Golden Globes Awards, following the death of his son Jett on January 2.

Travolta’s rep, Samantha Mast, announced Saturday that the ‘Grease’ star would not be attending the show, where he is nominated for the Best Original Song for his duet with Miley Cyrus, called ‘I Thought I Lost You’, from the movie ‘Bolt’.

The Disney flick is also up for the Best Animated Feature at Sunday night’s (January 11) awards.
