First Look: Johnny Depp As The Mad Hatter

Here’s your first look at Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland, which will be released in 3D on May 5 next year.

Producer Richard Zanuck explains that Depp really took to his role saying, “He is so much fun and so nutty, I can’t imagine anyone else doing it.”

Zanuck also says that the Lewis Carroll classic, which co-stars Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman and Christopher Lee, has been “Burton-ized”.
