Jon Gosselin Battles TV Network Over Reality Show

A battle has raged this week between Jon Gosselin and television network TLC, the broadcaster of his hit reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8. We’ve got the full blow-by-blow after the jump.
TLC made the decision to drop Gosselin from the series, citing “recent changes in the family dynamics,” adding, “We feel that Kate’s journey really resonates with our viewers.”
The 32-year-old’s attorney, Mark Heller, fired off an angry statement saying, “Effective immediately, no production crews are to enter Jon’s family home for any reason. In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers.”
TLC then shot back the following statement:
“We are aware of Jon Gosselin’s recent statements, and remain deeply disappointed at his continued erratic behavior. He and the family were shooting as recently as last Friday, without incident, and his latest comments are grossly inaccurate, without merit and are clearly opportunistic. Despite Jon Gosselin’s repeated self destructive and unprofessional actions, he remains under an exclusive contract with TLC. Direct filming of the children has been currently suspended, pending further conversations between both parents.”
Heller promptly responded to TLC’s statement saying, “As legal counsel for Jon Gosselin, I am totally confident that he will be completely successful in his quest to take back control of his family and preserve, protect and ensure their future well-being by putting the brakes on his divorce and pulling the plug on TLC, the media giant that he perceives as a monster that has exploited and manipulated his family and has been partially responsible for the breakdown of his marriage.
He adds, “Jon is resolved not to allow the TLC Corporate machine to devour his family and promote the monster’s best interests over those of his family. TLC and Discovery have been reputed to have generated approximately $186 million dollars for the quarter – compliments of the Gosselin Family, and Jon firmly believes that their greed to continue that cash flow will be trumped by his courage and determination to protect his family.”

yea for you Jon this should have been done a year ago. I myself was wondering why and how they(TLC) had the right to take your name off the show without changing the contract and I am not a lawyer. I am with you all the way even though I know you have made some mistakes in the past, nothing matters now you are taking control.

I think Jon is reacting to his removal from the show, and his loss of revenue. He doesn't have a job and his income is what he reaps from the show. By the way where is Hailey???? Seems she has disappeared lately. Did she dump him for his reported "Cheating"? Is this a reaction to him learning he has lost his revenue from the show, and his girlfriend dumping him? It is rather interesting that all this remorse and concern he says he now has, came to light after the announcement of his decreased roll in the Tv show. I do not hold fault with either Kate or Jon over the demise of their marriage…..this is a personal matter between them…..rather the real issue is how each reacted after the split. Neither of them are perfect and both have made mistakes, but Jon has shown a very poor judgement and by seeing other women before they even announced their split. Sure the tabloids are hunting JUNK to print, but a picture is worth a 1000 words and he HAS been seen with a lob of women and now has admitted he "MADE SOME MISTAKES". His actions seem to have certainly gone from bad to worse since then. Just too coincidental that he had a change of heart right at this time of his removal from the show!

This man works with a quarter of his brain. Now he has legal councel puppeting his comments and actions. Jon has been very irresponsible with his life since his split with Kate, I could just shudder to think what those kids would have to endure with him "taking control". His actions have put him on a path to lose his income and his children and the big revelation that he says made him stop all this was "WHOA I'm not going to have the cash to hit the Riviera, buy my girlfriend jewelry, keep this swanky apartment or keep my brand new 2 seater car I love"! So now his lawyer is trying to make this late out of the gate situation sound victorious. JON HERE TO SAVE THE CHILDREN. Give me a break. Sorry Jon but 99% of America know what this game is, no matter how you or your "representation" spins it.

Jon has no problems spending his childrens trust fund…..how else is he going to pay for his expensive apartment, lifestyle, plus all the partying? And the lawyer, Jon how about paying for the lawyer? Is he out there looking for a job? No, he just wants his name in the news and it's all about Jon. Way to go Jon, as soon as the network focuses on Kate (whom he has publicly embarressed over and over) you throw a temper tantrum! I believe Kate is starting a show in 2010 and the children were probably going to be off TV when her show starts, and she was going to support everyone but JON! Poor Jon….makes despise him even more!
