Kanye West and his road manager were arrested on Thursday (September 11), after they attacked paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport and smashed their cameras.
The rapper entered the American Airlines terminal and confronted a photog who was taking snaps and following a struggle, snatched the camera and smashed it on the ground.
A TMZ cameraman, who filmed the incident, also came under fire when West’s road manager attempted to grab the video camera ripping off the microphone and viewfinder.
Marshall Lowe, an airport spokesman, stated, “Mr. West was arrested at 7:51 a.m. outside the passenger screening area by airport police on charges of vandalism. Initial reports say this incident involved a paparazzo and a camera valued at more than $10,000.
“In addition, Mr. West’s [road manager] was arrested for vandalism and battery. Several witnesses are being interviewed by police. West and his bodyguard are being transported to an LAPD station where they’re expected to be booked.”
