Kanye West has canned his long-planned clothing line Pastelle, before any of the range had actually hit store shelves, however, the rapper still has the fashion bug and will release a line in his own name soon.
Website Swagger Dap published several photos of the Pastelle range, before being contacted by the rapper’s reps who requested the images be removed as it was not proceeding.
A message from the site owner read:
“KANYE STYLE CAPS LOCK EDIT: NOT TOO LONG AFTER I POSTED THIS, KANYE’S PEOPLE FROM PASTELLE HIT US UP ASKING TO TAKE THE IMAGES DOWN. APPARENTLY THE LINE HAS BE CANCELLED AND THE PHOTO SHOOT IS OLD. SORRY TO KANYE AND TO OUR FANS FOR HYPING IT UP WITHOUT HAVING MORE SOLID INFO. AND I HOPE KANYE DOESN’T S**T ON ME IN ALL CAPS. IF YOU ARE JUST DYING TO SEE THE IMAGES, A BUNCH OF PEOPLE PROBABLY STILL HAVE THEM UP, LIKE MTV, BUT I HAD TO TAKE EM DOWN SINCE WE WERE THE SOURCE.”
High Snobriety, a site favored by West, also received confirmation that the line wouldn’t be going ahead, saying, “Pastelle will never be released. That’s right. We’ve received official word that Pastelle will not be coming out. Ever. That said, Kanye West will release a collection under his own name in the near future. Stay tuned.”
