Katherine Heigl Staying With Grey’s Anatomy

Rumors buzzing recently that Katherine Heigl is set to leave the hit tv series ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ have been dismissed by ABC network President Steve McPherson, who says she’s “absolutely staying with the show.”
Heigl created controversy when she withdrew her name from Emmy award contention earlier this year saying she didn’t feel her character’s story warranted a nomination.
There have been several online reports suggesting that Heigl will leave the medical drama to focus on building her big screen career, that has flourished with the hit movies ‘Knocked Up’ and ’27 Dresses.’
McPherson told the media at an event this week that the actress is “absolutely staying with the show. There’s an unbelievable storyline for her this year. We are excited about that.”
