Kathy Griffin Swears During CNN’s Live NYE Broadcast
January 1st, 2010
Kathy Griffin was on fire during CNN’s live broadcast of the Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration, dropping the f-bomb while discussing the Balloon Boy scandal with her co-host Anderson Cooper.
I agree. I hated it and it was sad that all the fun was sucked out of it with her being so rude. We were having a pretty hard time where I live with family problems and looking for a way to escape after some stuff happened. We couldn't. It was a let down that the ball dropping which is normally such a big happy thing to look forward to us was tainted so badly because of her….
Two of us thought we heard the "-bomb," which ostensibly was the mispronunciation of someone's name. Anderson just kept on talking … Kathy you are funny … but sometimes the outrageousness is looking a little forced …
Kathy Griffin is "funny"??? I absolutely DETEST her! I have (unfortunately) seen her several times — and I always change channels as quickly as possible, because she makes me sick to my stomach. But this year was it; forget watching Times Square for 2011. When Anderson Cooper was explaining the new device which drops the ball (and yes, I was interested), and she interrupted him with "blah, blah, blah" — that did it for me. She is NOT funny, she is NOT "outrageous", she is NOT clever, NOT witty, NOT even physically attractive
(let alone that monotone, grating voice of hers). She is: spiteful, mean-spirited, rude, and ugly. I BEG whoever is responsible: PLEASE,
PLEASE: NEVER have that awful woman on a New Year's Eve program again!!! Anderson Cooper is brilliant, a gentleman, and is perfectly
capable of carrying the show alone. IF you have her on again, I guarentee you, there are a LOT of us here in Charleston, SC who will NOT
WATCH.
I agree with you pal, Chatty Kathy is a complete moron, not funny, and seems like a total goof-ball. What's up with her anyway?? She seemed like it was her mission to act as obnoxious and vulgar as possible. Keep Anderson, Fire her !!
I recorded it and tried to fast forward past her but gave up and erased the whole thing. What was she on?( besides an ego trip) Next year I'll skip it despite loving himself.
She’s awesome. She has 2 emmies, 2 Grammy nominations, and CNN keeps bringing her back because they get awesome ratings. If you don’t enjoy her sense of humor, then YOU aren’t funny. You can’t compete with sold out shows at venues like Madison Square Garden, emmies, and a hit reality show. Sorry. She’s funny, and the proof is in the pudding.
She is a celebrity that knows how to get media attention. It works for her and it brings good ratings to CNN. Looks like a win-win for everybody except the folks that don't get her humor. I look forward to watching her make Anderson Cooper laugh. He is too serious. It seems that at least once a year he lightens up It's a great way to start the new year.
