Katy Perry: I Am Not Going Celibate!

Gossip columns lit up this week after Katy Perry revealed plans to take a vow of celibacy this year, following her split from Gym Class Heroes frontman Travis McCoy.
Usmagazine.com reported Wednesday (January 21) that the ‘I Kissed A Girl’ singer revelaed, “I’ve actually taken a vow of celibacy this year. No kissing anyone. Just my cat, Kitty Purry.”
However, in a conference call Thursday, Perry says she was just clowning around when she made that statement.
“I am not going to be celibate,” Perry explained. “That was a joke, and any fine journalist would have got that.”
“Please,” she added. “Celibacy for the whole year? I’d rather die!”
