Australian singer Keith Urban has announced that he’s teaming up with popstar Nelly Furtado on a new song, with the country music superstar flying to Los Angeles to work on the track.

The unusual musical duet was revealed during an interview this week, with Urban revealing that Furtado invited him to be on the song, saying, "It was a blast getting to sing on the track; it’s a great song and hope it pans out."

Urban, who is up for a Grammy award on February 10, plans on writing and recording a new album in his home country, Australia, to settle with wife, Nicole Kidman, who is pregnant with their first child.

"I’m going to be doing quite a bit more songwriting and bringing some people down to Sydney actually," Urban said. 

"I’ll also be doing some more work in Nashville and here in Los Angeles."
