Kelis: Childbirth Was Really Painful

Kelis has posted her first comments on Twitter following the birth of her son Knight on Tuesday (July 21), describing the pain she experienced, but called him “kinda perfect.”

The singer tweeted about her first child with estranged husband Nas, writing, “Ok so I did it, he’s 7.8 pounds of the greatest stuff on earth. I was in labor for 3 of the longest most painful days of my life. I don’t understand when women say they don’t remember giving birth.”

She added, “I will remember for the rest of my life. He’s kinda perfect btw :)”
