Kelly Clarkson Thanks Fans For Record Chart Jump

Kelly Clarkson has posted an excited blog thanking her fans for support of her new single, ‘My life would suck without you’, after the song made Billboard history when it leapt from #97 on the charts to #1.

“THANK Y’ALL SO MUCH FOR REQUESTING AND VOTING FOR MY NEW SINGLE!!! IT’S DOING SO GREAT BECAUSE OF Y’ALL SO THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!” Clarkson wrote on her official blog.

“i’m about to start rehearsing the new record with the band and my first performance of ‘my life would suck without you’ will be in the bahamas …..so not too bad, very excited about that!”

Clarkson’s single broke Britney Spears’ record for the biggest one-week jump in Billboard Hot 100 history, leaping 96 places. It prompted her record label to push the release of the album, ‘All I Ever Wanted’, up to March 10.

The single also reached #1 on the Digital Charts, selling 279,000 copies in its first week, giving Clarkson the third-biggest digital song debut in history for a female artist.
