Kevin Smith At WonderCon: How Good Will Hunting Was Made

April 5th, 2010

Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith was his usual potty-mouthed self at WonderCon in San Francisco this weekend and after a short delay (due to traffic), he hit the stage for his Q&A with fans and explained how the movie Good Will Hunting was made… sort of.

Warning: the rest is a little salty.

Fans travel for miles to be in the audience of a Smith session at the annual San Fransisco convention and he very rarely disappoints, except when talking of his recent experience with a certain airline.

One fan broached the incident, only to find Smith inviting him up on stage for a photo opportunity saying, “We won’t talk about that f*cking airline ever again.”

When one eager audience member questioned how he can write for Smith’s website, View Askew, Smith responded, “You have to come out of my mother’s v*gina and be me. A lot of dudes get it half-right. They come into my mother’s v*gina. They find out very quickly that I don’t want to help them make movies. Unless my mother’s like, ‘Well, he f*cked me right’ and then I’m like ‘OK. Ben. Matt. Here’s money. Go make a movie.’ And that’s the story of ‘Good Will Hunting.’”

I think we’ll leave it there… lol.
