Kylie Minogue: I’m Not Conventional

April 17th, 2008

Popstar Kylie Minogue has spoken out about her desire to have a family saying that, although she dreams of it one day, she doesn’t believe she’s a "conventional marriage with a house in the suburbs" type of person.

Minogue, who’s album ‘X’ was recently released in the US, is approaching her 40th birthday next month and revealed to German Vogue magazine that her family plans are up in the air.

"I never had the feeling I was made for a conventional marriage with a house in the suburb," Minogue explains. "There are artists such as Debbie Harry or Dolly Parton who have managed to have an unbelievable career without a family."

Throughout her career, the singer has been involved in a string of high profile relationships, most recently being linked again with her ex-boyfriend Olivier Martinez,  although she’s stated that the two are just friends.

"Above everything else," Minogue continues.  "It comes down to how much love you have in you and if you are ready to give that love.  How things will turn out for me with regards to family I simply can’t yet say."
