The media’s been doing some digging as to why Paris Hilton’s alleged cocaine bust was processed through the police system so quickly, with many claiming she was given special treatment.
“Yeah, she was treated differently so I don’t have a disruption of my process here at the county jail,” said Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief Jim Dixon, told The Las Vegas Review Journal.
Regular Joe’s would take six hours to complete the arrest process, however, the socialite was whizzed through in three.
“When you bring somebody in like that, everybody comes over and tries to look at them,” Dixon added. “I’d have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her. I’d have disruptions.”
Hilton, who is still on probation, was charged with one felony count of cocaine possession on August 27, after police found the drug in her purse during a traffic stop on the strip.
She is scheduled to appear before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure on October 27 to face the charges which could result in jail time.
