Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra, has confirmed that the singer will testify against her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown during his felony assault case scheduled for June 22.

“The judge advised me that there will be a subpoena for Rihanna as a witness at the preliminary hearing,” Etra told E! News on Thursday (May 28).  “She will definitely comply.”

According to Etra, she will have to face her ex as, “He has to be here anytime a witness is called.”

The information provided at this hearing, including possible testimonies from the officers who were first on the scene of the alleged assault, determines if the case then goes to trial.
