Lindsay Lohan has denied being a spokesperson for a nicotine substitute, after reports surfaced that she is trying to kick her smoking habit and has inked a deal with a lozenge company.
According to the story, which first appeared on Australia’s Sydney Morning Herald and was then republished on gossip blogger Perez Hilton’s website, Lohan signed a deal with Ariva lozenges and will "indirectly endorse a nicotine substitute to help smokers quit… The deal requires Lohan to hold the packet of special gum in view of the paparazzi so it can captured in the frame and published worldwide."
However, Lohan’s representative has issued a statement denying the report.
"Lindsay has not been paid to endorse Ariva," the spokesperson said.
"She is just a fan and is using it to help cut down her smoking, as she is currently in the studio recording tracks for her third album."
