Lionel Richie: Sparrow Looks “Identical” To Harlow

Lionel Richie has opened up about the arrival of his new grandson, Sparrow, saying that daughter Nicole Richie is “in total control” and that the baby boy looks just like his big sis, 19-month-old Harlow.“I am so proud of Nicole and Joel,” Richie boasted at the UNSF’s An Evening of Stars event on Saturday (September 12), where he was honored.
When asked how Nicole, 27, and Joel Madden, 30, were coping with their new arrival, he said, “[Nicole] is the happiest woman ever. She is just in total control. I’m the one that’s nervous!”
Baby Harlow is adjusting to her new sibling and “right now, is enjoying the baby until she finds out its staying,” he joked.
Richie added, “He looks just like Harlow. All babies sort of look the same as their siblings, but this is identical.”
The proud grandpa also addressed his new grandson’s unique name.
The singer revealed that he’s already brought the baby a football helmet and cleats, and said, “Sparrow may not be the football playing name, but he’ll get bruised somewhere in the game.”
