Los Angeles Police Launch Investigation Into Mel Gibson

The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department confirmed Thursday (July 8) that it has launched a domestic violence investigation into allegations Mel Gibson struck his ex, Oksana Grigorieva, during an altercation earlier this year.
Lt Steve Whitmore confirmed to E! News, “We have spoken to the alleged victim. The investigation officially began Monday and we are in the preliminary stages.”
TMZ confirmed that Grigorieva met with her lawyers following the investigation announcement and reports that ‘law enforcement sources’ claim they have “serious concerns” over her allegations.
