SPOILER ALERT: Despite Dylan being the father of Kelly’s baby on the new ’90210,’ Luke Perry says he will not be returning to the zipcode that made him a household name.
Perry, who played bad boy Dylan McKay in the original ‘Beverly Hills 90210,’ was asked whether this new plot development would see him make a cameo down the track.
“That would be a no,” he told The Deadbolt during a conference call on Thursday morning (September 18) to promote his guest starring role in ‘Law & Order: SVU.’
“What I have determined is that stuff doesn’t happen by accident,” he continues. “We put a lot of hard work into it and so did the writers and directors. When shows take off and become a part of the American psyche like that, there is a time when it is happening that you are resentful, because you had no idea it could get that big. But when you stop and look at the whole picture of your life, from that perspective, I am very proud of it. It was fun. It gives you a neat relationship to the American public. It puts you on a closer basis with all kinds of people; the world could use a little more of that.”
The 41-year-old will star in the season premiere of ‘Law & Order: SVU’ screening in the U.S. on September 23.
