The material girl earned much of that from her landmark Confessions tour, the highest grossing tour for a female artist, which earnt $260m worldwide.

Superstar songstresses Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion followed, taking home $60m and $45m respectively, while Latin sensation Shakira sashayed her way to the number four spot after earning $38m.

Britney Spears, who snagged a spot on the list at number 14, realised most of her profits from old hit songs and surprisingly strong sales of her perfume, Curious, which grossed more than $55m in 2006.

The magngificent Streisand continues to glow!!!! She’s #2 on the list in her sixty-sixth year while probably her everyone else is at least twenty years younger than she!! Amazing. Also, let’s not forget: Streisand’s live performances are far fewer in number than the number of live performances given by the other “artists.” I’m sure one could easily say that, based on money paid for performances given, Barbra Streisand should be number one!!! Oh, yes, one more thing: Barbra Streisand is a true artist and sing. Madonna???? Please, don’t even go there!!!!!!

  2. Ken Connor Says:

I repeat. Barbra Streisand is a true artist and can sing!!! What is a star for if not to shed light???? Madonna and Celine??? Synonyms for deadwood and driftwood.
