Mariska Hargitay Struck Down With Collapsed Lung

Mariska Hargitay was forced to skip Sunday night’s Golden Globe Awards after she suffered a partially collapsed lung.

The 44-year-old actress was noticbly absent from the ceremony, where she was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Drama Series, with her rep releasing a statement Monday (January 12).

“Mariska Hargitay has been sidelined with a pneumothorax (a partially collapsed lung),” Gary Mantoosh said, stopping short of explaining how it happened.

He added that Hargitay “will appear in all episodes for the rest of the season of ‘Law & Order: SVU’.”
